It’s time to implement a new intranet. How do I get started?

You don’t just implement a new intranet in your organization overnight, ‘to keep up’ or 'because you have to'. A digital communication platform can help you achieve your organizational objectives in various ways. But what do you really want to achieve? Map out your current situation, set goals and write a business case. Connectedness? Engagement? Better collaboration? Innovation? Knowledge sharing? Cost reductions?

Before you start, it’s important to figure out what a social intranet can and should help your organization with. What is the current situation? How do processes work, and can they be improved upon? What is your organization already doing well? What is your vision for the future? What are your organization’s needs and wishes, and what are the possibilities?

We drew up a questionnaire to help you choose and implement a new intranet. Use it to map out the current and desired situation - including KPIs, determine how an intranet can help you and create a business case.
