Plek update: Safe, safer, Plek.
We are releasing an updated version of Plek today between 4 and 5 PM. Besides implementing many small improvements, we've been working on additional security for Plek. So as always, your data is safely stored with us. Other good news: we developed a completely new booking tool!
As you may already know, information security is an essential part of the Plek platform. It plays a major part in our organization and development cycle. Bearing in mind the GDPR - taking effect as of May 25th - we took another good, hard look at our data processing and security. We want to keep improving and we don't just want to comply: we always want to do more. A few weeks ago, we published an interview with our Information Security Officer Mark Verschuuren (only available in Dutch) on our blog. He explained that, behind the scenes, we are constantly working on extra security, 'privacy by design' and 'privacy by default' on Plek. Two examples we're currently working on are end-to-end encryption in the (already super-secure) chat and two-factor authentication.
We have all our ducks in a row
- ISO27001, NEN7510 and ISAE3402 certified data centers
- Organization complies with ISO27001 en NEN7510
- Private cloud on private servers in private server rooms
- Redundant (mirrored) servers at two locations
- Encrypted backup at third location
- All data transport via SSL encrypted connections
- All data and processing outside of Patriot Act
- Regular penetration tests
New booking tool
Our completely renewed booking tool (optional) makes working together easier than ever! Our previous booking tool was only used to book meeting rooms and other spaces. The new booking tool allows you to book any type of shared item: spaces but also cars, parking lots, beamers, etc. You can filter by type, select a location and time, and you'll get a clear overview of bookable things. You can make a booking for yourself or on behalf of someone else.
Are you interested in the new booking tool and is your organization already using Plek? Ask the admin of your Plek to contact your account manager at Plek.
