Plek update: The first release of the year!
We are releasing an updated version of Plek today between 3 and 6 PM. In this first Plek release of the year, we're implementing improvements for groups, onboarding, chat and information pages. With all this, even Blue Monday will turn into a party!
The functionalities of your group
When you're creating a new group, it's up to you to decide which functionalities it should have. For example a timeline, chat and documents. After the release, Plek will present you with some suggestions with regard to these functionalities. Just collapse the group features if you would like to edit the default settings. And for the sake of consistency, you will see the same new page layout when editing an existing group.
Oops, my bad!
Sent an angry chat message to your boss in the heat of the moment? Accidentally shared a sensitive document with the wrong colleague in a chat conversation? After the release, you can delete a chat message or a document from the chat. Hover over the respective chat bubble and a chevron will appear at the top right. Click it, and then click 'Delete chat message' or 'Delete document' and you're in the clear!
That's a wrap!
After the release, a platform admin can lock an information page. This means that a content manager can no longer edit it. Of course the page can be unlocked by the platform admin at any time.
Onboarding: anything is possible
Every organization can decide what to include in their onboarding for new Plek users. It usually contains a short introduction, selecting groups, a tour around the platform and - of course - completing the profile. In order to provide you with even more freedom of choice, all of the profile fields can be included in the onboarding after the release.
