Novicare: highly personal!

With seven different locations and one hundred and eighty practitioners in thirty multidisciplinary teams, a lot of knowledge and expertise is available at Novicare. But how do you make sure you are also able to exchange all of this knowledge amongst colleagues in an easy and accessible way?

That was the challenge Novicare faced when they decided to go for a new social intranet. Lucky for them, the solution was quickly found in a joint platform with the ultimate goal: exchanging expertise and connecting colleagues in a place where everyone feels at home.

And that's how it happened. The intranet got the name Novinet; a platform where already more than 180 practitioners are active, including doctors, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists and support services.

Thanks to Novinet, practitioners can share knowledge and can easily be found online via their profile. Colleagues each have a completed knowledge profile and are therefore much easier to consult on their expertise. Knowledge is also shared in a quick and easy way, in the specialised departments for example. A psychologist can specifically share a new guideline with colleagues. Previously that was done by an e-mail to 25 people, who often responded with a "reply to all". Now it's taken care of via a message on Novinet.

"Ever since the launch of Novinet, colleagues share messages faster. They also share more often what they are doing in their department or region. Next to that, our mail flows have also decreased a lot, because we are doing our internal communication largely via Novinet. Internal newsletters via email which employees often found too long, can now be read anytime, anywhere. But more specifically, when employees want it. And what we might benefit most from, are the profiles and groups where people can find each other by expertise and exchange knowledge. In short: we are very happy with Novinet, " said Inge Boderie, Communications Consultant at Novicare.

Nice numbers!

Novinet is now widely used. No less than 91 percent of employees are active and in just six months, over 585 messages have been posted and at least 50 active groups have been created. The search terms on the platform have also increased considerably. We can't deny it .. the future of Novinet looks bright for everybody!
